I'm having problems using DSLazy, so I was wondering if someone could help me out with this one...
use the search function please. i saw a similar thread like this last night. even before that i do believe there were projects but they were dropped because capcom doesnt use just 1 folder to put all of their sdat data in
Yeah, I noticed similar threads before.
I would've done it myself (as stated before) using DSLazy, but since I have a crappy PC I can't even run the application. u,u
Umm...I dunno if it can be done but, well you can download and use DSBUFF instead of DSLazy, it's DSLazy with a nice gui, it might work.
OMG! *punches CPU*
I can't even run DSBuff...
Hmm...does it crash or what?
we might be able to help you
Those two are just frontends for ndstool. It's a command-line application, so if you can't run that you should probably look into getting a newer PC...
i dont think the megaman games can be undubbed period
I have ndstool, but sadly I don't know how to use it. :x
It's right there in dslazy.bat under the UNPACK and PACK options. Just open a command prompt in the dslazy folder and enter the commands.
Also you can use the exe that comes with both DSBuff or DSLazy
Ok, after a long time I've finally managed to get Dsbuff working.
So, I unpacked the Roms
-Rockman.Exe 5: Twinleaders
-Megaman Battle Network 5: Double Team DS
Now I would really appreciate if anyone could help me or give me advise on how to swap the sound files.
This is my first time trying to hack a DS rom btw.
capcom megaman games are a bitch when it comes to undubbing. hell someone correct me if im wrong but there hasnt been 1 100% undub of a megaman game yet so just let it go........seriously
All you do is take the sound_data.sdat from the Japanese game and swap it/overwrite with the English one and repack the English game.
Ok, thanks. I'll let you know if it works. :]
have you ever looked inside a megaman ds file?
its a mess to try to do a full undub
let it go
Yay, it worked!
Thanks for the help Raiyu.
I fail to see the point of this thread, as this game can be undubbed with the same process most other NDS games can be undubbed, the swapping of the sound files..
In some cases the sound file might have a different filename or it can be in a different path but you can mostly figure it out easily.
The path for the sound file (sound_data.sdat) is in this case:
The thing is that this was my first try...so I knew nothing about swapping sound files.
Actually, I was making a request at first...but in the end I did it myself, and obviously thanks to to Raiyu.
Thanks Raiyu for the tips!
