Hacking [Request] Backup.bin for the R4i Gold 3DS Plus card

Hey everyone,

I used my R4i Gold Plus (r4ids.cn) card yesterday to install a CFW on my 3DS. However, I was dumb enough not to create a backup first, so now my card cannot be used as a regular flashcard.

I tried restoring its flash with ntrboot flasher, but to no avail - none of the backup.bin files found online seemed to work. I've seen someone with a solution on this forum, but the google drive link is sadly no longer active.

Can someone please drop me a backup.bin file for the R4i Gold Plus card? It would be greatly appreciated!

what makes you even more so dumb, is that card comes pre-flashed, you flick a switch inside to turn it into a NTRboot card, i dont think anyone has dumped theirs yet, but you may be able to use one of the R4i Gold 3DS RTS ones until someone uploads it

I know, right? I got confused at some point (that's what you get for doing multiple thing at once), not even sure at what point I bricked it cause I've been juggling 3 SD cards at the same time. I've found a site (can't post the link thought since I just registered) that has the backup.bin for both DS and NTRboothax mode, but neither works, regardless of which way I flip the switch inside. It says something along the line of restoration failed at the end. (Will have to check once I get back home.)

Never mind, managed to figure out a solution after a lot of trial and error.
I'll just leave this here in case someone else also manages to brick their R4i+.

First, dump the flash from your card with ntrboot. Then go to mediafire com/file/j9fgakxvjmm4el1 (sorry, couldn't type out the actual URL due to spam prevention) and grab the backup.bin for the card. Open the SD card through your PC and copy the name of the dumped file. Then, paste the file from the mediafire archive on to the SD card and rename it to what the dumped file was called. (You can delete the dump afterwards.)

Once you're done, place the SD card back into the flashcard and fire up your 3DS into ntrboot mode. After that, select the restore flash option. If you did the setup correctly, it should recognize the new flash file and restore it properly.

I'm not sure if this solution is special in my case, but it definitely did the trick for me, so I thought I'd mention it here just in case someone else has ran into a similar issue.

Where was the dumped flash from the card stored? And what would it be called?

But this card doesn't need a backup.bin. Change the position Form the switch inside the card
