If I have a thread that I want moved somewhere else, is reporting the first post to "put it in the queue" acceptable, or is it preferably I PM a mod?

Its always more efficient to report for that sort of thing, then you aren't relying on a single mod to do it for you. I would always tell people who pmed me about that sort of stuff (moving, closing, changing titles of threads, etc) to just report it next time.

    Wouldn't YOU like to know?
Yep, if you report it, the first mod who sees it will be able to take care of it for you. If you PM a mod (like me, for example, since there are some times when I go for days without logging in), you might end up waiting longer.

Reporting is the faster option, although if you ever go on IRC it might even go faster if you request it there. Notice the 'might' there, because sometimes there's not many people around who can handle it.
