Hey folks. My philips dg-16d2s dvd player in my xbox 360 has stopped working and my 360 is out of warranty. I saw that you can buy a replacement dvd player and swap out the circuit boards for an easy fix. The problem with the philips is that one group of the wires is soldered. Before I attempt this, has anyone had success with swapping out the circuit boards on this? Is this a fairly easy solder job? I fear that this is the only fix for me as I do not have a desktop to do a flash. Even if a had a desktop I'm not sure that I would be comfortable trying to flash the drive. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
