Getting confused with all the googling. No straight answers. I just need the Lic. Nothing to ship I'd assume. I have the dongle I used to activate my console but the console was repaired. New console has a good serial.

yes. all you need is a license but why don't u use the same license as before? your console fingerprint should be the same.

They don't answer. I tried that the day I bricked my switch, been 3 weeks. but I know you can't just take the dongle to another unit. that is the entire point of the activation.

Appreciate that but thought they might have been understanding at least. Like you say though if you've tried then no dice unfortunately. It's a bit shitty that they a) don't reply and b) don't fix this situation though really.

Although some might say it's in their interests to make as much money as possible in whatever way!

Well, true I also read many horror stories of people saying they never contact them back, Plus most people say, why woudl they give you a free license if your switch dies? I sort of agree with the feedback on that, it really is not their fault the switch died.

Other than replacing morherboard how would the console fingerprint be different. Am I missing something I thought the sx os lisence is registered to the dongle.

I also had console that got banned (not from sx) and wanted to transfer a license to another console and I never received a reply from them either. This is even on top of waiting for my pro to come in. I still bought os as well. That license is doing nothing now

sx os license can be used once,if your console get broken or anything,fail etc then you need to buy a new license code.
do not get confuse,sx dongle can be used on many consoles as you want but each console needs a unique license code.

Why not switch to ReiNX why do you need sx os?

I did get a new license but doing the mod does not ask for it. It gets the license-request.dat like it did last time. Then I go online and get the license.dat but that is not going to work. I think this dongle has a license built in to it. So how do I get the new license in it?

I have no idea what ReiNX is but I dont want to do any adb stuff if that is what it is.

Erase the old license.dat from the sd card and copy the new license dat to sd card

I have copied the code. When I hit browse it asks for a file. I don't have a file. I have text.

I don't have a request file? I know how to do that I did that last time. The request file comes with a license but I burned that one up on my old unit. I have a new unit now and I need to get the code in side that dat file I guess?
