Yesterday a friend told me that if I want to use my old .sav file for my Wood R4 I needed to rename the file to

Ex.

Pokemon Platinum .sav > Pokemon Platinum.nds.sav
( I am using Windows 7)

(I'm not sure if i did this correct though)

Can you please show me a way to do these possibly with screenshots?

Sorry guys I'm such a noob

Thanks,

~Lev

Yes .sav > .nds.sav is the correct way to do it.

Yeah, but the file doesn't say .sav, it only says it in properties. Do I add that to the title as well?
Go into any folder click Tools, Folder options, click the View tab, scroll down to Hide extenstions for known file types and untick the box, click Apply, OK.
That should allow you to change the extensions of your saves to .nds.sav.

That way (above)!

Or if you are a little lazy try this

1. IMPORTANT! Before you use this, backup your saves!
2. Before you extract the file make a new folder and place all your game saves in it and after that place the extracted file in the same folder.
3. Open the file and it will ask you what's your choice.
4. Enter "1" (without quotes) and hit enter!
5. Done!
6. Copy your desired saves on your card along with the games and enjoy!

If that doesn't work try this
save file converter. You will find all the help on the download page.

Use this file to rename them instead http://filetrip.net/g25123714-AKAIO-Wood-R...ve-Manager.html

The file linked by the person above may end up renaming files to *.nds.nds.sav etc.

The one I linked yo backups all the saves on the MicroSD to a zip file on your PC before renaming. You can run it from your desktop and it will determine the MicroSD card and then rename all the saves on it. It will never rename a *.sav to *.nds.nds.sav.

Would .nds.sav be redundant? As only the last .blabla is counted. So the .nds is part of name, so it would bug with the save.

The .sav should be the EXACT same name as the rom that uses it.

lazy go ask somewhere else ''where it belongs''
and carrot almost, yes the save must have the same name just easely ad .NDS after the game name, otherwise it'll not be so redundant
