Hey guys!
I'm extremely new to the Wii scene (I usually stick to handhelds), but I've took the giant step of moving onto consoles. Anyways, I've installed everything your supposed to, and it all works perfectly. Except preloader, which as I've found out doesn't work with SDHC cards, and I don't have a generic SD. So, I was wondering if reinstalling the menu (downloaded with NUSD) with WAD Manager would remove preloader?
Thanks,
Matt.

P.S: In NUSD, so far I've only downloaded the WAD by clicking Database->System->System Menu->v482 (4.2E) and then "Start NUS Download!". Is this all I need to do, or are there some other things I have to click/enable?

yes, reinstalling the system menu will overwrite preloader
after that, you may want to run nandclean to get rid of the last traces

in nusd, there may be a 'create wad' check box. well at least there was one in a previous version I used. make sure it's checked
otherwise it creates a folder full of seperate files instead of one single wad

Thanks for the reply!
Should I use IOS249 to install it (I've followed the Simplistic Mod guide if that's any help)

If you want so, he should overwrite IOS70 (in his case), too. As preloader patches something in the System Menu IOS. This would be the last trace remaining after System Menu WAD & NANDclean.

Hmm... how would I do that? Should I download IOS70 through NUSD and then install it through WAD Manager?
