Hacking Removing annoying apps (What's new, ps store)

Just found this, managed to remove all those annoying apps from the menu.

A guy who owned extrememodding forums and made excellent tutorials on how to mod UI like this.

He also showed off the demon and Omsk a long while ago iirc.

I don’t get how this demon thing downloads from zippy etc.

All I wanna know is. How in the blazing heck did he install pkg/fpkg over ftp. I know there's a write up but it's not useful to the end users. For people without usbs. That's a win. I must know xD
