I'd like to think this is possible, but I'm guessing it isn't without spending a lot of work on it.

Can a gecko code skip the wrist strap warning in Wii games? What about deleting the files from a FST dump and rebuilding the game? Option two wouldn't always work, but AC:CF has this:

    ac-fst\DATA\files\Strap\

Deleting the files in that folder could lead to
    1. The game not working
    2. The game working perfectly and skipping the warning
    3. Some combination of 1 and 2

Since this is one of the oldest gripes with the Wii, it must have been tried before. What happened?

Ocarina codes could likely be made to skip it. However, this means someone would have to spend the time making one for each game.

Deleting files typically results in #1. Games hate missing files, and usually either error out or freeze when it tries to access the missing resource.

When using alt-dols on certain games the warning is skipped.

For popular games, it might be possible. I know that someone will never make a code for Endless Ocean...

As for deleting files, has anyone tried dummy files?

problem is that those healthwarning screens have to be coded by the developers, nintendo only supplies the picture and some guidelines.
So generic patching won't be that easy as mentioned before a code per game has to be made.

You might be able to use Riivolution to do that, patch the file on the fly with a dummy.

many games actually do stuff while you are staring at the health screen, such as loading stuff from the DVD. you can replace the files with flat black images, create codes to remove the need to press a button to proceed past the strap screen, but you cannot just jump past it in these cases.

Solution: Quit being so impatient. You can already get games for free. What's the harm in wasting 10 more seconds of your life? You take more time taking a piss.

What about a Gecko code (for a popular game, so lots of people benefit) that displays the warning, but presses A / moves on to the game automatically?

Thanks for the help. I'll try alternate DOL loading when I get the chance.

I'd kinda like to do this too, since one of the things I liked about flashme on the ds was removing that screen.

But, if it's an invididual thing like that, I don't think it's worth it.
