Hacking Remote play on hacked Vita?

Hi guys, just one simple question which I couldn't find a definite answer to last time I looked.
If you have a hacked 3.6 vita with all the homebrew/piracy jazz, can you successfully set it up to remote play your ps4? Or does that require activation etc?

there's no need to use special plugins or something else? just use the official remote play app of psvita?
