You're right, I don't. But i can say that in confidence because I used common sense. Common sense would dictate that Ninty probably WOULD NOT have a PS3 emulator. What your doing is attempting to shit on my argument by shoving words in my mouth. Fucking hell man. You guys are gonna give me an aneurysm.
oh btw i been researching and it was nvidia itself that made the gc emulator, the main dolphin developer left dolphin and was ired by nvidia Arm branch and afew months later shield tv has the gc emulator up and running so guess who did the emulator lol it was the main dolphin dev not nintendo, they hired him, guess he got his dreams come true, making a free emulator for the masses and then by hired by a big time company to make said emulator on their arm branch and get paid for it :P

And said emulator is probably owned by Nintendo or both Nintendo and Nvidia.

we dont really know how the rights are done really so its kinda of a stretch, nintendo could jsut be taking money for every game they run on it.

You're right we don't have any information about who owns it.. But I can't see -any- company letting someone make an emulator like that and not have some rights to it, or it would be the bleem all over again.

microsfot made an n64 emulator aswhell as snes and nes for their rare replay and nintendo had no say in the matter, they run nintendo emulator to run their games on xbox one.

you cant stop a company to make an emulator for your console if they release games they have the rights too nintendo cant say shit.

Well to be fair I wasn't sure if rare replay was emulated or actually ported with new source code.

But apperantly Square doesn't want to do a DS emulator! ;)

Thanks for the info.
along the years manny companys made nes, snes and gba emulators and released their games running on them and nintendo could never do anything, its no ilegal to make an emulator to run your games, thats why is nvidea hired the dolphin dev and now they have their own gc and wii emulators all they need to do is pay for rights to put the games on sale on their digital shop.

square enix not wanting to make a ds emulator is very understanding, emulators are long works and expensive and some wont even work depending on the console, like ds and 3ds manny games rely on alot of touch screen forced stuff and dual screen use wich wouldnt work at all on ps4/xb1, even on switch the dual screen worldnt work too well because the switch cant be stationary virticaly unless you make your own custom stand.

Well I was just mostly joking about DS emulator because of Kingdom hearts.. But we -do- know that Square has ported DS and 3DS games to other systems, including the switch.

RIP Gamecube Titles. Guess we all just have to wait on that extremely optimized Dolphin build for switch that will only support 25% of the titles at 60fps :P
But seriously, portable melee when?

Again.. Right now there is nothing to say Gamecube games won't be on the switch.

True, but I don't see how running a lot of the games on a 4core 1ghz SoC will be possible without heavy frame skipping or really low resolution will be possible. Here's to hoping :)

Well we -do- know that some GCN/Wii games are running on Shield Tvs... So it -theoretically- is possible.

Right now there is nothing to say no GCN games.. And nothing to say there will be. So I'm simply in a holding pattern.

Isn't the shield at a much higher clock rate though? I guess with it running Android instead of the Switch OS (cannot remember the name right now) it probably gets bogged down a bit.

I'd like to know where did you got that info yourself, I've been searching about it for 15 minutes straight on Google and various Dolphin forums, either you're talking non sense or I'm looking for answers in the wrong part of the internet.

https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...icial_gamecube_emulator_on_nvidia_shield_and/

see the second post and someone like you said the info came from dolphin twiter that one of them left the project to work for nvidia arm team, you can probably find the official info somewhere on the dolphin twiter if you look for it.

it clocks down the GPU but the shield never clocks down the cpu wich is twice as powerful than the switch one sadly, and for emulators the CPU is god.
