The second is using HxD; basically editing yourself.

Just want to confirm that the save editor that comes with home brew is all I need to use before (exporting) and after (importing) I edit the save data?

Can one of you guys find the offset for Link's voice? It's currently known that it is randomized from when you create your file.

Hey thanks for finding this out! I'll try to incorporate these changes asap (though I do have work today ;_; ).

Do we know if the method for generating CRC is still the same? Like there's no third check that wasn't found since these values weren't changed?

...? I have 3 different saves and all the Link voices sound exactly the same. Are you sure...?

    Thanks

Sorry, I don't follow that thread and don't know who is doing what, how often the first post is updated or if it still is.

if everyone agree, I can give write access to fafaffy (who seems to be the developer here) or to you if you like to help updating the first post.
just don't delete everything, keep all current informations.

I say give @fafaffy the permission to modify the OP.
I will surely respect the OP and don't delete anything, but in terms of updates and the likes I think fafaffy might be the best choice since he is currently developing this.

I added fafaffy, I hope the OP is ok with that, as I didn't ask him.

    Thanks @Cyan!
I'll try to organize the OP later today with all the new and relevant info. However, like I said, I'm busy today with work (and tomorrow with Halloween), so no guarantee's of when I'll finish updating the editor.

If someone wants to try and expedite this process, I can definitely use some help:

@c4388354 made a post here detailing new information, such as how world completion and costumes are located/saved.
However, it's not a complete mapping, and in order to make a nice and robust editor, I need some more information.
    As mentioned in the post:
I'm not sure which bit goes to which costume

Like above, I'm not sure which value corresponds to which costume

Later today, I can make a small program to let users help and aid me in figuring out this information.

However if you're an advanced user and have some spare time, I'd appreciate if you can help fill in the gaps of what corresponds to what.

    Thanks!

That's fine, just do what you can when you want.

    Alright, I finished my costume
helper program. The way it works is you either open a save data file, or drag-drop it into the program.

Write which costume you currently have selected, and select which costumes you own.

Afterwards, click on the "Generate + Copy report" button, and paste the results within this thread.

Please, it is vital that your answers are accurate. If you're not 1000% sure of which costumes you own and which one you have equipped, it's better not to post as it will confuse us (me). Thanks!

I didn't upload the source as it's not an official project or anything (and my source code is really sloppy), but if this raises any concerns I definitely can, or you can decompile the program (it's not obfuscated).

    Screenshot of program:

Example output: (note - these values are wrong and are not to be taken seriously)

    Information from Save File:
    Currently Equipped Costume:
    Cheer Outfit (0x03)
    Owned Costumes bytes: 09 00 00 01 00
    Owned Costume bits:1001000000000000000000001000000000000000
    Owned Costumes:
    - Bear Minimum
    - Hero's Tunic
    - Cheer Outfit

OK, so I found out that 0x574 is the number of Friendly Tokens the Faux Hero has given you, set the hex value to 0F if you want the maximum of 15. 0x5A0 is the number of treasure chests you opened in the Daily Riches shop (not sure what the maximum amount of times is for this but I assume 999?).

Dang, by the time they get homebrowser/youtube/whatever working again, this'll be a fully functioning battl-... save editor for every aspect of the game!

And all I wanted was 3 materials to finish off some outfits...
