Also want to mention I got UWUVCI to work on Mac with wineView attachment 444863
Note: Vwii mode opens but trying to click the theme icon it crashes the app, everything else works
I'm curious about this, can you share more about how it works for you? I can get Wine to load up UWUVCI just fine, but I can't make any injects work.
Edit: Ah, okay so I see what you did, you just ran it, you probably didn't try to inject anything. Anyway, I released another update to UWUCVI 3 to add in the ability to enter cKeys and tKeys into UWUVCI for Wine or Virtualization. With this, all of UWUVCI is accessible to you, but just note that external tools not made by me that UWUVCI uses might cause you issues with Wine/Virtualization.
Question: I want to use injects for GC compatibility, but after launching the installed channels, my Wii U just reboots. I checked the compatibility list and used seemingly compatible combinations, I'm on Aroma so it should be region free, and I used violator's SigPlugin so I can definitely install the channels. I'm building from clean isos not reduced size of wbfs. Before I used that plugin, it did warn me to verify my WUP files, post SigPlugin it just installs (but doesn't work).
My console's original region was JP but I changed it to EUR. My vWii region is Europe (but it has priiloader also). Console is also running on minute via isfshax which forwards to aroma
Most of the guides I see assume that you're using a US injected game on a US base game on a US console. For those of us in Europe (considering most of the confirmed games list does not include EU),
* if one were to have a US version of a game (e.g. Project M which is built on the US version of SSBB):
* should that be injected into a US file, or an EUR one, if the wii U is EUR region? Or does it make no difference?
* does it make double difference and one requires a EUR wii image injected into a EUR base installed onto a EUR wii?
* Any other tricks I'm missing? I tried disabling trim, did nothing.

It just reboots by itself? It doesn't go into a black screen forcing you to reboot? I'm not sure what guides you're talking about exactly, but I made all of the official guides, and I just so happen to be in the US, and all the games I own are also in the same region which is why it's like that. GCN in particular is essentially just a forwarder to use Nintendont and autolaunch the specific game which is why if you check UWUVCI's compatibility list for GCN it tells you to check out Nintendont's. If you are getting the black screen error, that is just a generic error, for me I can't do GCN injects for some reason because every single one goes to a black screen, but if I load into Nintendont and launch the game then it works fine. I know this doesn't answer your questions, but essentially "it should just work."

Sorry, to be clear - when I said GC compatibility I meant Wii game compatibility with a Gamecube controller not GC iso injection, I don't mean playing GC games over Nintendon't. I want to play Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii with GCC support.
I've attempted to inject a clean US rip of MK Wii into a US xenoblade container (as it says should be possible on the compatibility list) with classic controller support added, and installed. I'm in EUR environment, running Aroma so I assumed it would just work, but it reboots. Shows Wii on the gamepad, console is black and then reboots on its own.
Yes, it's a reboot not a hang. vWii games work fine through wiiflow too running cios249. I have priiloader region free everything as well. Not sure what else the problem could be.

Right, please walk me through if any of this is wrong. My vWii system menu is 4.3E, my Wii U system menu is 5.5.5E, although the console was originally Japanese
I am injecting an NTSC version of MKW into the US version of Rhythm Heaven Fever, with Gamepad set to Classic Controller. It's a full iso, not trimmed. I have the Region Patch: To PAL. (and have tried with it off). I have also tried with Rhythm Heaven EU and Xenoblade EU. I have tried with Disable Trim on and off. The only thing I haven't tried at this point is Video Patch NTSC to PAL. I'm injecting it and then WUP installing it, I have d2x cios 249 based on 58, I have priiloader with region free hack on, I have isfshax and aroma running on pretendo, I have WUP installer GX2, I am installing to SDUSB (which definitely works with the base WUPs). I have violator's region patch. It is installing with the automatically downloaded banner correctly etc - but then it boots to a black screen after showing the wii loader and restarts.

Ah okay, now I understand. I'm not sure how useful I'll be though because I'm pretty sure that has something to do with Aroma in particular. I'm not in the know-how for homebrew, I just know how to write code. I haven't moved my Wii U from cbhc because of how little I use it like i haven't made an inject for my Wii U in about four years. But what I can tell you is that it should just work, so I recommend reaching out to the Nintendo Homebrew discord or the community because they should be able to provide more guidance. Sorry
Mine is doing is stuck on "Downloading Tools - Please Wait" for a long time too, but the link is dead, can you share it again?
EDIT: already found the problem, just ignore this.

Soooo, I tought It was fixed but it seems like it wasn't... I followed this part from the FAQ:
"3) It's hanging at "Downloading Tools" https://github.com/NicoAICP/UWUVCI-Tools
Download these tools and put them in
Documents/UWUVCI AIO/bin/Tools
Overwrite if it gives you a prompt"
But my antivirus thought it was a virus, so I temporarly disabled it, but now that I was able to copy these files, still nothing happens, it's stuck at that screen. Any ideas?
EDIT: it seems like I just needed to restart the PC after temporarly deactivating the antivirus to make it work!
EDIT 2: just put the UWUVCI folder as an exception and now I don't even need to temp disable the antivirus!

There's nothing in the code to allow of patching the main.dol. Do you know where I can find information on how to do it? It might be possible, and it might not be.

Since it uses cmd commands, I think a script would probably do the trick, but I'm not sure.
I also think there are two ways to implement it.
1. the user has to provide a .gct that is injected, which is probably easier to implement, or
2. uwuvci creates a .gct for the user and injects it afterwards and the user just has to provide the code as a .txt or by pasting it into a text field.

I'm familiar with that and with all of the other codes to make classic controllers work, they've been asked for years with the first one being the SMG2 Controller patch. The main problem has to do with the dol file, I know WIT is the tool that's being used which all the injectors use to take GCN/Wii games and make them usable. The problem is more so hoping the user can supply the right information to get the dol file pathed. This could be an item that's stored that's pulled for them, but users might not want it, so it gets a little messy. Also, patching multiple gct items can cause problems if they're not right. I'll make note of the request and see where we land with UWUVCI 4.
