thanks, yeah i thought this would be pointless since you can just open something like camera etc, but then this would be faster, and i don't have to exit :)
nice work for us lazy people! ha

Indeed. If you don't mind closing another app, Quick Rebooter is just as good, but why have the extra button presses? Mine's niche, but it has its place. :)

I just booted this app without any game open and it resets my 3ds as it supposed to. But after i return to the main menu (Emunand) I'm unable to press the power button to shutdown the 3ds. Only a hard power reset worked. It seemed like the app was disabling the power button. Is this a bug that might happen when there's no game launched?

It could just be coincidence or a problem with my 3ds, but i thought it was worth mentioning.

Does it happen consistently for you? I tried to reproduce it on my 3DS but I wasn't able to.

Nice but not that great tbh its quicker just using the Health & Safety guide and booting back out again, this app takes way longer to boot back into emunand, it just hangs for ages and by the time you have waited you might as well off just gone into H&S and back into emunand its a much quicker solution.

Sorry I meant to say I thought this app actually stopped it from happening altogether booting out of SSB but all it is is just a false app.

Still requires extra button presses. On my 3DS it takes the exact same amount of time to boot health and safety as this application, and it doesn't require pressing Home, then X to close it.

Sorry bud I will have to disagree with you on that one, the H&S way is a tad quicker on just using the A + home button.

This is pretty clever!
Although they say that no code is bug free, it makes me wonder what could possible go wrong with a 3 line main()

They shouldn't speak in absolutes like that. It's certainly possible for a simple program like this to be bug free. I once wrote a 5 byte (I think it was 5 bytes, it was ~20 years ago, so maybe it was a byte or two more or less) program in assembler to reboot MS DOS from the command line, and that was bug free. No room for a bug in that one!

I tried it again today. After opening the app (without any game open, just after the boot of emunand) the bug happened again. The first time the power button worked just as normal but after opening the app the second time the button does not react anymore. I'm testing it a bit atm and i am able to go to sysnand through the system settings reset in emunand, the power button works again also when entering emunand again. This time after opening the app once, the power button got locked again. Maybe it bugs because there's no game open? i'll play with it for a bit and edit this post.

Edit:
Ok so i tried it with some games. The power button got locked and i started supersmash. The game exited as intended and the powerbutton got unlocked again. So the app is working great, as there is no reason to open the app without playing a game anyway. But still it's nice to know such a bug is present (or unintended system change or whatever)

Anyway I love it, thank you!

Why would you want to boot into the home menu though? If you want to switch games you would just select a game and boot into it, without quitting smash?

SSB & MH4 reboot to sysnand, and you have to quit the game for write the save on the SD on gateway! So it is good sometime to use that to be sure the game is saving when you have long session of gaming :)!
And you can't use "Select" to switch rom without escape these games!
