I don't understand because the OP says that it's compatible with GW emunand, for example. So as GW emunand accept .CIA, I made this mistake.

What mean the fact that rxtool support GW emunand, so?

What's showed here is a proof of the MSET downgrading function! What you can see here is a NAND on 9.0 with a theme in the back, and the old System Settings logo in the app!
I successfully written a stable functions in rxTools to downgrade mset in every firmware to his 6.X version, so with the Profile Exploit in there
I need to finish and test the stability before releasing, be patient, becouse it writes things in your NAND, and i do not want to cause bricks here around!

Is it normal that it stucks on "Initalize" (about 1min) when I launch the exploit?
I have RxTools.dat, slot0x25KeyX.bin and firmware.bin at the root of my SD Card and I don't have EmuNAND installed yet.

The other thing I need to report, is that the QR codes on the site don't work on a Nintendo 3DS. It isn't smart enough to assume that anything ending in .com/, .net/, .org/ is a URL.

The actual text encoded in the QR code is launch.rxtools.net/ And what the QR code actually needs to be encoding is http://launch.rxtools.net/ (The 3DS expects to see either http:// or https:// at the beginning for URL based QR codes.)

This is why I couldn't run the exploit and was getting pissed off

The EmuNAND partition is a copy of your NAND, nothing is different.
The CIA support is not enabled by the EmuNAND itself, but by the Gateway launcher which is patching the EmuNAND's system files at boot/in memory.
If you boot the NAND copy using another launcher (here rxTools), the patches applied to that EmuNAND are different and will not add cia install or ROM loading support.


"Supporting Gateway emuNAND" means that emuNAND created with Gateway flashcart's menu can be loaded and booted with rxTools.
There are different Emulated NAND : one from Gateway, one from MTcard, one from Yellows8/smealum (called Redirected NAND instead of Emulated NAND), one from Palantine (leak from an old redNAND).
each of them are a little different, and the location of the NAND partition on the SD card is different too.
being compatible means that it understand where to look and how to load it.

there is no real benefit from downgrading to 4.x MSET, 6.x MSET will offer the same functionality but with a few added features....that being said im sure he could do it, but again there is very little reason to and it will just complicate matters and lead to 101 questions on which is better
