The data installation doesn't work on n3ds yet, so remove the firmware.bin from rxtools/sys.

Is the dumping feature safe to use?

Did you put the firmware.bin in SDcard/rxtools/data and rename it to 0004013820000002orig.bin ? I made that mistake before.

Problem was that I was using both firmware.bin and 0004013820000002orig.bin.

You don't need rxTools if you just want to region change your emunand.

Is there a way to desactivate the RxTools autoboot function to just get to the menu ? Since it doesn't work for new3DS its annoying...
Btw I found a bug in RxTools for new3DS via Homemenuhax, sometimes when you use the c-stick in the homemenu in emunand mode it can freeze the new3DS...

I'd like to install the cfw before trying to change the region of emunand. And I'd like to use the cfw because i'd like to keep with me the gw blue card and play 3ds game as cia.

- Put the Boot.3DSX in the 3DS SDcard root (make a backup of previous one)
- Extract rxtools folder from Rxtools archive to sdcard too.
- In Reinand archive find firmware.bin (rei folder) and extract it to rxtools/data (you may have to create it) and rename it 0004013820000002orig.bin
- Power on your 3DS & hold L and if i don't forget anything it should boot rxtools, pass the error message and boot in emunand.

Bug report: Custom Data wireless management may freeze Rxtools.

Bug report: C-stick and 3D in emunand homemenu freeze the 3ds for no reason... but work in game.

Sorry if I'm getting lost in this mess of posts, but are you trying to start from scratch? If so, you have to launch Ninjhax 1.1b TWICE to get anything installed in the beginning. The first time, you use it to launch pasta or rxtools (or whatever), then you run it again, to launch FBI. At that point, FBI can install CIA files and such. FBI.cia should be one of the first things, next would be the 4.x version of MSET (you will need to delete MSET before installing the 4.5 .cia of it), and flashcardtimewarp, if you need to use the blue card.

Edit: Hah! I'm here talking about a blue card, but all of that is invalid (or rather, unnecessary) if you have a Gateway...

You want to system transfer from O3DS emunand to N3DS sysnand? Or from O3DS emunand to N3DS emunand?

In any case, basically you'll have to do this:

3DS XL sys10.1 >> O3DS emu10.1
Then, downgrade O3DS emu10.1 to emu 9.0
Then, O3DS emu9.0 >> N3DS 9.0sys or emu

The 3DS XL will have nothing left (just like new state, no data) and all the content will be transfered to the O3DS emu10.1 which means that anything that you previously had on the O3DS emu10.1 will also be gone.
If you don't want to lose it, I would suggest making an emunand backup (using emunandtool) first. That way, you can restore the O3DS emunand afterwards.

Yes so do a nand backup before then transfer then flash back the backup
