Same problem with latest nightly here. Text is divided to two rows, and those rows are swapped. Booting to emuNAND is working OK. (Old 3DS XL, sysNAND 9.2.0-20E)

I know what the problem is. It's ImageMagick. It must've generated the font wrong. You can fix this by using a font.bin from a nightly that's from about a week or two ago, before we moved to using a Raspberry Pi. Alternatively, you can use the nightly from my Dropbox, as that was built using Windows :)

Well, im like 2 months behind on rxtools

Well how can i reinsert the ribbon cable? It seems impossible, i do not understand how you guys can do it. The mic and circle pad cable are really annoying, i inserted all the others but the circle pad one and the mic. Please tell me how to reinsert it. Then i will get back on rxtools :) after i hardmod and reflash my 7.1 backup

Yep. On my homepage, there's a link sorta at the bottom, with dropbox builds. The ones on Dropbox, are from my Windows machine - they're okay to use :)

The big "Download latest nightly" button, downloads the builds that were made by the Pi.

I'll make a fix, later this evening. Since ImageMagick is clearly outdated on the Pi, I'll make a slight hack which will remedy the issue :)

Oh, maybe find a newer version of imageMagick on the debian arm releases, or compile it yourself, and anyone knows how to insert these ribbon cables?

The repo is outdated, for the Pi. I'd have to compile it myself (I really don't like compiling stuff. Getting dependencies can be an ass)

Just go on the debian package repos, for debian arm, not for raspbian and see those. Or maybe some external sources. I will look for you, i have a raspberry pi as well, if you want i can try and compile the latest for you. What debian version are you using? Latest?

@WhoAmI? Here you go, i found an armel package of imagemagick, hope this helps, here is the link:
http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/imagemagick/imagemagick_6.8.9.9-5_armel.deb
This is a uk server, debian ARM package, use it and try it

Thank you. And yeah, I'm running the latest version of Raspbian. Hopefully this package works, I'll check when I get home :)

If it doesn't, I'll attempt to either compile ImageMagick or edit my build script to simply copy over a working font.bin

I've reassembled my 3DS, quite a few times. Sometimes the cables can be a pain in the ass to connect but just keep trying.

Make sure the latch is open, then CAREFULLY slide the cable under it. Once inserted, just close it.

Sorry that I can't help much with your issue, as there isn't really a good way of explaining it other than "Slide it in".

Well i looked on google and youtube, not much help. I was looking on how to insert the mic and circle pad, i had no trouble with the other ribbon cables, just the mic and circle pad was giving me a hard time.

We did a shell swap a month ago and as far as I know the mic does not have to be disconnected. Just for your reference next time. For the analog one you need to lift the plastic tab upward. But be very careful as those plastic clips can break very easily. Once its up, slide the ribbon on the back side and click the clip down. Just be careful and take your time. Use tweezers makes it easier.
