What is it ?

It's to install specific ROP chain for a specific firmware version... Running firmware 4.x.x-xx? Choose "mset loader 4.x". Running firmware 6.x.x-xx? Choose "mset loader 6.x". If you're on neither of those, don't bother installing them... Basic logic, really.

"Homebrew MsetForBoss.dat" - don't bother, you don't need it.

You forgot: launch the Gateway launcher and format emunand. And you want to backup your card before that, and restore the files afterwords...

The firmware.bin is not a whole firmware.

Well that made it certainly alot more trouble to install.. Not sure if im going through with it. knowing me, i fuck up somehow/somewhere..

Same. I tried it on 6.1 and 6.2 (both updated with retail carts) and it just errored. So I'm back on 4.3 for now until it's fixed. (The joys of having a NAND flash port)

You do realize simply starting a DS game or DS Flashcart uninstalls the MSET ROP right? You didn't have to restore your entire NAND.

I think he wanted to return to a firmware where mset works for most homebrew.

Yes I did, because I went from 4.3 to 6.1, then 6.2, and how else would I get back to 4.3?

I just want to be able to use the MSET loader so I don't have to deal with scanning QR codes all the time, much easier when I'm away from my computer/router.

You were scanning the QR code every time you wanted to boot rxTools? Ugh. What a hassle.

Bookmarking the site is the way to go, makes the whole process a lot quicker.

Even better, you close the browser while it's still loading the website, then all you have to do is open the browser and it immediately boots the launcher.

I had tried that with Gateway and it would have problems. Yeah, I just scanned the QR code.

Sooo, By backing up card you mean the SD card? Then i format EmuNAND via gateway menu, then i can launch Rxtools via that website url?

Yeah, copy back your data and add the rxTools.dat and NAND.bin, then visit the url.

What I did is this:

1. Get a copy of GW 3.1.1 and put the launcher on my SD card
2. Boot up GW and use the "Format emuNAND" option
3. Once it is done, shut my 3DS down and get the SD card back in my PC
4. Delete everything on the SD card (Not formatting it), then copy the 7.X key, rxTools.dat and firmware.bin
5. And now I can boot into rxMode from the webkit browser

It does not format emuNAND, it formats the SD and it also creates an emuNAND partition on the SD card.
I know, they named it wrong and it should change.

Yes, but i already have an emuNAND partition on the SD card. Why is it needed to do it again in order to use Rxtools?
