Not to mention we can already install legit .cia's on sysnand 9.2 and lower with FBI using ninjhax.

O.M.G. Really? I didn't know. So you just slap FBI into the 3ds folder and Ninjhax can use it to install .cia's? This work on O3DS? I heard that N3DS has the service which lets you install .CIA's without kernel access (or whatever you call it)... Not sure if that's true though...

We have kernel access from ninjhax, so whether or not that service is usable without kernel access is irrelevant.
Although, I was rather surprised to see FBI has a 3dsx release myself!

I wish I had known this ages ago. How does one get it to work on Ninjhax? I haven't been up to date with this stuff, so I don't know... I should probably ask this in a different thread. Sort of off-topic, here. May I ask in PM (if you don't mind)?

Fair use only applies if you actually own the product you are making/using a backup of. The correct term for downloading a digital product illegally without actually owning it is still piracy.

piracy also might apply to downloading stuff you DO own (depending on where you live..that's absolutely the case in the USA though...)

I go to update to 9.6 in rxMode, and it gets an error a little over a 3rd of the way through. Anyone else have this issue or know a solution?

Ahhh, my bad! I did mean that in a serious tone actually. It's particularly rude to do that in someone's own release thread, since it's a place where people should have respect for an author.
Reverse-engineering, especially on community works, is best done out of sight because of that. In my opinion, at least.
