Raging Loop English Ver. for PS Vita
Hello!

I had begun work on this title about a year ago. Then scrapped everything because of some fun Unity issues.

I decided to restart my work and give it a go again, and here we are!

Modified June 6, 2023:

1. Acquire a copy of Raging Loop (Game is listed as Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P sometimes) and ensure you have the rePatch plugin installed.

2. Head into VitaShell and hover over "PCSG00958", then hit triangle and click "Open decrypted"

3. Now connect the vita to your computer by your preferred method.
*Ensure the files aren't operating system protected if connected via USB, if you don't know how to convert them, copy and paste these files to a different folder on the vita.
archive.psarc
*The entire Media/StreamingAssets/Movies folder. Aka
Media/StreamingAssets/Movies/OP.mp4
Media/StreamingAssets/Movies/LOOP.mp4
Media/StreamingAssets/Movies/ED.mp4

4. Drag the unprotected files listed above into the input folder of this patch.

The folder should look like:
input/
archive.psarc
Movies/OP.mp4
Movies/ED.mp4
Movies/LOOP.mp4

5. Run the file that matches your operating system's name.

6. Drag the repatch folder into your ux0 folder.

Enjoy!



What's been modified:
- Game's Scripts
- Images
- Manual
- Movies

What hasn't been modified:
- Trophies
- System Messages (Inside a unity dll file, editing that for vita is not easy.)



Known Issues

-
The names will appear a bit small. (It was either that or the script text gets cut off, unity font modding is weird)
- System messages are not in English.

Let me know if any issues arise.




I also recommend you turn on "Hide buttons" in the in-game settings.

Just a quick 1.01 update bump here. Fixing a character's face sprite. If you downloaded it yesterday, all you need to do is add archive.psarc to input and run, then send it back to your vita, no need to copy the movie files.

Year later, let's make another update, why not?

Anyways this is v1.02 with some bugfixes:

- Fixed Media Player choices.
- Fixed symbols in key list.
- Re-converted movies to fix cropping issues.
- Fixed an incorrect jump copied from the switch script. Thanks u/Spazzery for pointing it out!
- Japanese characters are no longer invisible.

If you already have the last patch version installed, none of these should be any deal breakers, but for people just checking this out, here's the list.

Cannot aaply the patch. Tried versions from pkgj and nopaystation, decrypted by vitashell and psvpfsparser - its all the same: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT for archive.psarc. I dont know what to try next

Hello there kind of new to patching this game, I also need some help please as I am experiencing the same problems and having some difficulty where I am unable to apply the patch aswell...I tried to closely follow the instructions provided and did the following...Also I already have rePatch plugin installed NoDRM installed from previous patches of other games...

1. Went to PkGj (v0.57) on vita...
2. Downloaded JPN PCSG00958 (Rei-Jin-G-Lu-P (3.61+!) [3.63] and installed the game.
3. Downloaded the patcher link provided in this thread on my PC.
4. Went to VitaShell on console, went to ux0:, then apps and finally hovered over PCSG00958 and before pressing X to open the folder...Pressed triangle to open decrypted.
5. Found the archive.psarc and also the Movies folder in StreamsAssets and transfered both archive.psarc and Movies folder via FTP to go to my pc for the Input folder of Raging Loop English Patch 1,02...

This is where I am stuck...I have archive and Movies folder in the input folder in my PC and went I try to run the Windows.bat I keep getting this message...

Your message to me sounds like you opened PCSG00945 first before decrypting. Before you open the folder, hit triangle then open decrypted. you'll know if you did it correct if sce_pfs isn't present on screen as a folder. I just did my own steps and it converted fine.

Hi! Thanks for replying back! I followed exactly what you just mentioned...Before opening the PCG00958, hit triangle and selected open decrypted...While inside made sure the sce_pfs ware not appearing and then I transferred both the archive and movies folders via FTP while again making sure sce_pfs was not showing up in FTP Vita folder aswell. Windows.bat is now patching it and manage to send the repatch back and the game is fully working and translated! Could have swore I was pressing triangle before and selecting open decrypt before...But clearly I was not :wtf:...Thanks again man! Sorry for the hassle again!

I think it is due to the archive.psarc and mp4 files still being hidden and are protected operating system files even after copying
and pasting them to a different folder on the Vita.

Do you have any recommended tips or workarounds I can try?

Not particularly. PCSG00958 should have no sce_pfs inside it, and if copying the archive.psarc to a different folder then copying that copy onto your PC didn't work, try FTP.

Hey it's my first time trying to install a patch and the Maccommand doesn't seem to work for me (M2 chip), it keeps coming up with 'Illegal instruction' when I try to run it. Hoping there's a way I could fix this, cheers.
