Hello, I'm such a noob at modding, and I want to ask how to add the custom DLC songs to the game. I uninstalled the DLC I downloaded from HShop and got my assorted custom DLC songs I want to add to the game, but I don't know where to go from there.
If you already have the DLC .cia you just install it with FBI! :)

After finally getting the DLC to work (it was an ordeal for some reason, I needed JPN locale emulation for the DLC to show up, that shop didn't automatically create the proper file for it), the patch works! Amazing, I can finally read what I'm tapping on lol! If I don't use JPN locale emulation, the DLC won't work. Maybe this helps someone else coming across this. Might be a good idea to have a locale.txt as part of the archive, that way any user installing this will have the proper file, regardless wheter that shop's app created it for you or not.

I notice that all of the regular songs have English names, yet all of the DLC songs still have the names in Kanji / Katakana. Is this intended, and if not, any idea how to fix it? I did try importing the provided savegame, which changed the name of my character but I'm not sure what else it is supposed to do.

Either way, thanks a bunch :yay:

Oh all the DLC names should be in English, it wouldn't make sense for them to be in Japanese since the names themselves are image files. I think that means you might have installed the original games JP DLC rather than the DLC for this mod

Right, I think that's the issue. I haven't downloaded any of the songs from the spreadsheet yet. I installed the base game, update, official DLC, and the English translation patch / mod posted in the OP.

See the attached screenshot to see what my song select menu looks like, I think something is not right. All the songs marked with "DL" are their original DLC entry in japanese.

All base game songs have English names, all official DLC songs have their Japanese names (and are the original DLC songs, not the replacements). Now, onto the songs contained in the spreadsheet, for example, "Butterfly - Smile.dk". Do I have to manually download these from the link in the spreadsheet? What do I actually do with these files from the spreadsheet downloads (the *.ogg, *.png and *.tja)? I can't find any similar files in the file structure of the mod at all. Song replacements for base game seem to work, I can see all of the base game songs being replaced with the songs present in the spreadsheet. It's the DLC song replacements that are not really working for me I guess.

Thanks for your help!

Edit: Am I a dummy? Do I need the base game's DLC installed, or is this mod, in fact, a DLC replacement? Because that would explain my issues.

Edit 2: Never mind, uninstalling the offical DLC did not yield results. It merely removed the additional DLC songs from the song select menu.

The DLC in the spreadsheet are songs that are part of a custom .CIA DLC for this mod. I couldn't include it in the initial mod download since you're not allowed to share .cia's on here.
The main place to get it is a place that rhymes with Biss-cord (replace the B with a D)

*slaps forehead* Yeah, turns out I was being a dummy, lol. Thanks for the pointer. When you said you can't link "the DLC", I thought you referred to the game's original DLC haha.

Edit: Never mind, after talking to some nice people there they sent me in the right direction and it's working now :yaynds:
