This mod increases the difficulty of AI racers in single-player races by a considerable amount, making it a lot more fun to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe against computer competitors!

In the vanilla game, computers are set up to race in formations, which will determine their race placaments. In order to respect formations, their velocity is often decreased in half, providing a tedious experience for players who wish to play more competitively.

What the Mod Does
It increases AI difficulty by boosting their overall speed and lowering formations span, guaranteeing they won't slow down as often, creating a more intense race experience.
The mod is presented in three different versions.

Original Version
  • Increases AI speed by 15%
  • Removes most slowdowns, but still prioritizes lowering speed a bit in order to respect formations

Easier Version
  • Increases AI speed by 10%
  • AI slows down if you fall behind, making it easier to catch-up

Extreme Version
  • Increases AI speed by 30%
  • No slow downs
  • Lower chances of getting 1st place

Usage
The mod works better when played on 150cc/200cc, Hard COM, and franctic items mode!
It can also be used on local multiplayer if you are the host.

Installation Method (Ryujinx/Yuzu)
Move the "HarderAI" folder to the game's mods directory.

Hope you enjoy!

Hi there!
Can you make it compatible also with the switch (so not only emulators)?
If i install it using "SimpleModManager" it say "partial(1/11)", so i think it isn't full compatible

So buying a Switch 2 base model in the USA could cost close to $600 with tarriffs and tax come June. https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikka...endo-switch-2-price-leaked-and-its-not-cheap/

up to 450€ was within my expectations given the oled costs 350 at retail (although it's often on sale for cheaper)

(I'm going by the standard that dollar price equals euro price in games and consoles)
