    yes

FunKeyCIA.py -title xxxxxx-key xxxxx -> errors out after failing to retrieve some of the files

    Code:
    Could not download content file...

    Attempt 2 of 5
    Could not download content file...

    Attempt 3 of 5
    Could not download content file...

    Attempt 4 of 5
    Could not download content file...

    Attempt 5 of 5
    Could not download content file...

ERROR: Could not download content file... Skipping title

    28
    29
    30
    31
    32
    33

make_cdn_cia foldernamexxxxx output.cia -> works fine, tho I have not tested if it actually installs or activates the DLC properly. it does give an error message but doesn't seem to stop the creation of a cia file (0x0000003C: error: No such file or directory)

I actually have an o3ds, let me try it out since I can swap out the sd card easily.

    Ok, I just tested it.

The incomplete DLC packed with make_cdn_cia installs correctly and gets detected by the game.

Oh really? Then I have not said a thing haha. I got the same 'No such file or directory' error after trying to build it myself but indeed still found a generated CIA file. Thought something was wrong with it though, because of the error and when I checked the file size, I thought it was rather small compared to the donwloaded content file size.

Anyway, thanks for helping me out you all. I will try it out myself tomorrow, actually also got this problem with the DLC of Blaster Master Zero, so I hope it works. Otherwise we just need to wait for all the DLC to be available haha.

oh ok, it is just FunKeyCIA skipping the title because it thinks there is a problem.
i guess FunKeyCIA could add an option '-dontskip' or something like that?

Can confirm the incomplete manually created CIA I build afterwards works, so the missing content that is listed in the TMD is apparently not a problem for make_cdn_cia. :) Then I simply added two lines in the FunKeyCIA script so it continues after it can't find the content on the CDN, so it will make the CIA itself:
    Code:
#line 223, at the end of the for loop
    if error:
print 'ERROR: Could not download content file... Skipping title'
    print ''

    #added lines
    error = False
    continue
The thing I find weird though is that I when I check the DLC in-game, I only see all the paid DLC missions (which are not even supposed to be released yet lol). The DLC missions that are free are not installed, which means the content that can't be found on the CDN are the free missions? There are also a few dummy objects in the DLC list, which are not supposed to be there I guess.

Yeah, no problem. It has nothing to do with FunKeyCIA itself, but I thought I would mention it.

with the recent bootrom stuff, is it possible to decrypt cia/3ds/nand files on the computer now without need for the 3ds?

Ye. That was one of the big points of having the bootrom available.

and ok, so now that this is possible, is there an actual tool that has been released/updated that allows us to do so?
or is it just possible now, but it's diy?

It seems to only convert encrypted 3ds (cart dumps) to encrypted-3ds-installable cia.

Can you tell the exact command to decrypt an encrypted cia with one of the tools you mentioned?

yes but .3ds files/cci are different to .cia files.

or if we treat a cia like a .3ds it will work the same?

Yes, but i think ctrtool has cia combatibility

you have right. 3ds files are not the same compared to cia
I found ctrtoll command line https://github.com/ihaveamac/3DS-rom-tools/wiki/ctrtool-Terminal-arguments
