sx os was not created by two people any more than atmosphere was created by two rat children.

The leaders being arrested doesn't mean the FBI will just...stop.

It's more likely they'll go after anyone not based in China.

And new features or bugfixes for something other than just supporting the new firmware are already very infrequent from Xecuter.

Atmosphere is open source so even if SciresM is arrested (very unlikely), anyone could continue it.

That's my point it's bleak for them, but I think they've survived other arrests if I'm not mistaken. But it's never a good thing to have 2 of your top 3 guys go down no matter what you're doing. Yes sometimes they can be replaced but I know if I was in sxos and I saw 2 out of 3 go down I'm not filling in that position just to be the next to be arrested.

Also like the post mentions above this probably isn't over by a long shot. If they had the goods on atmosphere they'd already have arrests most likely.

AFAIK flycast only works on atmosphere, because only atmosphere has the functions fixed that are needed for Just-In-Time compilation (JIT). Please if someone knows more details about this, correct me. Bottom line: If you run Retroarch and a core is crashing, and the core makes use of JIT, then please try it also on atmosphere, it might work!

SXOS isn't going to survive its owners being arrested. It's not a community effort, the developers are hired hands. That's not a problem in itself, but with nobody to pay for development, it isn't going to happen.

Remember Gateway development also abruptly ended despite new versions even being teased.

Yeah I'm not some lifelong sxos hater I purchased sxos 2 years ago and have used it ever since, but I know Nintendo is on a tear like never seen before. They are going after everybody. This is unprecedented times we're in and there is no sure thing going forward especially with sxos. While there is a possibility they continue there is also a possibility they shut down, probably a better chance they shut down than continue. In their defense though so far team-xecuter forum is still up so we will just have to see how it plays out.

The fixes were for the official JIT sysmodule, which isn't used by homebrew.
There's so much that could potentially cause issues, their entire CFW is a hackjob.

Yes. But I wouldn't ever use it. Flycast core in retroarch is infinitely better.

The only people who should still use this are people who are running SX OS who really want dreamcast and can't or won't go to Atmosphere.

If SXOS could use sysmodules so I could use Mission Control and Sys-dvr I would delete atmosphere altogether

This Console is surprising, the only one that competed with the first two generations of Playstation. I say this because I get titles that came out on both PSOne and PS2 and some of them were Vigilante 8: Seccond Offense (PSOne) and Resident Evil Code Veronica X (PS2). I wonder how it would run on Reicast

Terrible.

Use Flycast. With the update to SX OS there is zero reason to run Reicast anymore.

It does but it's like 30% complete to Flycasts like 90% complete. Just use Flycast in retroarch.

Just compiled a reicast build with latest libnx. Controller fixed. Tested on SX OS with FW 11.00 it work fine.
