I've done a quick test with Dead or Alive 2, Shenmue and Soulr reaver, all run surprisingly good, can't wait for further optimizations.

No, those forwarders give you the extra ram without doing anything but selecting the game.

@davidgf Do you have any plans to implement an "overclock" option to the emulator just like retroarch did?
I know i can use the sysmodule to overclock, but just in case it can make the thing even easier.

What CFW are you using? Atmosphere? SXOS? ReiNX? If you're solely just using Hekate as a CFW, I highly suggest using one of those CFWs I mentioned as they will open homebrew by holding R when launching a game. You NEED to launch the homebrew menu using a game because doing it by the album doesn't grant you full access to the RAM. Without the RAM, it will crash every time.

I use hekate (chainloading fusee primary) and it works like for all the others.

Also you can inject gamesaves in dci format into your vmu file that reicast creates using vmsbrowser. Tested it with Crazy Taxi 2 & Confidential Mission.

So with this forwarder, is the reicast NRO located inside the root directory? or switch folder, or "switch/reicast"? just asking since I've seen all different locations used. Thanks!

Yeah same guy that did Blue Stinger did Illbleed. He died in like 2005. Before he died he was working on porting both to the orignial Xbox but it never happened.

Tested with SX OS

Confidential Mission (US) (chd) - Playable with some minor screen popping
Virtua Cop 2 (JPN) (cdi) - Unplayable Freezes at Sega logo

Ironically Crazy Taxi 2 in chd format keeps crashing but the cdi format is playable. If any games crash try a it in a different format.

I wonder when we TX bros will get OC ability. Seems like a small OC gets most games to full speed

It is the Dreamcast Dev Bios, it has a different Startup animation and sound.
