all you need is a DS Flashcard working on 3DS Firmwares 4.1>4.5 for this
because you can use the Gateway installer.nds to install the MSET Exploit and then load Launcher.dat

1. Download file Either MT Cards or Gateways latest Files from there sites
2. Copy GW's or MT-cards launcher.dat to the SD
3. Install the DS Mode exploit using any DS FLashcard
4. Now you can go to Settings -> General Settings -> User settings -> DS profile
5. Boot Into Classic Mode
Done

So wait.... This means that after patching the hex codes, GW mode will allow you to load retail carts from any region??? Holy moley.

All we need is to figure out why retail saves on emunand and sysnand differ and I will be getting a new 4.5 3DS.

Just open the launcher.dat in a hex editor and change the values in the respective addresses?

once patched GW Mode wont play roms, it plays Retail
you will have to switch between the modified launcher.dat and the standard Gateway launcher.dat

Carts which use the 6.x saving crypto will corrupt if run on this firm. There is no easy way to fix that I'm afraid.

but if you already have a save using the 6.X KeyY it will come up as corrupted
if not it will save fine but will come up corrupted if used in a system not using EmuNAND
