You need a particular game exploit system menu 4.3.

I recommend Yu-Gi-Oh 5D wheelie breakers.

Doesn't matter how new or what colour. All wii's are currently softmoddable.

It will most likely have version 4.3 software on meaning you'll need a game to hack it, if you're in USA you can use Super Smash Bros Brawl, if in Europe/Australia then you'll need to use Lego Indiana Jones or Yu-GiOh Something Wheelers.

And also, its guaranteed to have a newer dvd drive meaning it won't boot backup discs or dvd videos, you will need to either go down the usb loader route which most people do these days or you can swap the dvd drive out for an older one.

Follow this guide to modify any Wii. Since you are on 4.3, you will need to have a legitimate copy of one of the following games:

- Super Smash Brothers Brawl, US/Japanese Wii's ONLY.
- Lego Indiana Jones, US/Europe Wii's ONLY.
- Yu-Gi-OH 5D's Wheelie Breakers, All Wii's.

If you don't have any of the above games, you will need to buy, rent, or borrow one. You only need to use it once to install the Homebrew Channel.
