Homebrew Red Steel 2 restarts wii

I just got Red Steel 2. When I try to play it using NeoGamma 7, the screen goes green and my wii restarts. How can I fix this?
May this be because I don't have a Wii Motion Plus?

Could you please give some more info when asking for help?

- Cios installed (incl versions)
- Firmware version
- Game version
- Other loaders you tried

And YES this game requires the use of Motion Plus.

However when i load this game on CFG USB loader it boots just fine, and kindly asks me to connect the Motion Plus.

I use the following setup to run Red Steel 2

- Hermes v5
- CiosX rev 19
- CFG Usbloader 56A
- USB disk on NTFS

Basically everything runs awesome :-)

Im runing NeoGamma R7 rev 7. I tried backup channel and it came up with an error message. My wii is runing on 3.3 firmware.

U have to first launch the game using the alt-dol method to watch the motion sensor plus video (same fix as wii sports resort). However, when I played the game I did not have to watch this video because I had already watched it for wii sports resort (ie. u only have to watch the video once and it doesn't matter which game u use to watch the video)

If you've never played wii sports resort on your wii, u must launch RS2 from an alt-dol and watch the motion sensor plus video... please report back your findings.

thanks for reporting back... this means that u only need to watch the video once for either game (wii sports resort or RS2... and probably future motion sensor plus games).

I used to think we had to watch the video just to make a save file... but i guess not, otherwise u would have to watch the video for each game... so the log that u watched the video once already must be saved somewhere else on the wii's memory (other than that games save file)

You might hate me for this, but what exactly is the Alt.dol method? I figured since it's already been mentioned here it's worth asking about.

every wii game has a main.dol, but some games have many other dols... in your favourite loader, check the options for the game, and u will see an alt. dol selection, here u can change the dol used to load the game. There are only a handful of games that require u to use the alt dol method to play it... but both WSR and RS2 require u to use the alt dol ONCE, watch the 3 minutes video, then stop using the alt. dol to play the game

Ok...now im learning.
I tought alt-dol was exclusive in each game.
So the video of the WM+ is played once...and there's no future need for releases that just demand it?

I ran red Steel 2 on a 3.2U wii with just the extra ios 53,55,56.
cios38 rev 17. Never ran wii sports resort.
Loaded game from usb loader GX rev 600c channel. Game ran perfect. A game can restart if you are missing a ios.

What loader do you use? Mine doesn't have any Alt Dol Options

EDIT: Yes it does nvm. It is asking me were the alt dol is so what do I select? Sorry I know this is probably stupid.
