Red Faction 2 ESRB rating posted, RF2 apparently is real.

A quick search of the ESRB’s website shows that Red Faction 2 has been rated for PlayStation 3. Its rating is M for Mature, and its publisher is marked as SCEA.

To those who played the original, this is indeed very good news. Kind of like those waiting for Sly Cooper: Theives in Time, Red Faction fans have been left out for a long time. Now they are getting some love.

Would be awesome if they updated it and added online. I loved that game so much on PS2, about as much as i loved Timesplitters 1 and 2

It's already on Steam, been on there for years broken and unplayable for many.

Probably just another PS2 Classic, not a remake or anything.

It's a shame Red Faction is dead and discontinued as a franchise. I liked Guerrilla but it felt really limited and lifeless. I would have wanted, with such advanced tech compared to the last generation of consoles, a really amazing FPS game like the old ones. But that really didn't deliver, it's just some fancy building physics but not the "everything is destructible" thing like the last game.

Well, at least the series isn't entirely dead. Hopefully this will resuscitate the franchise after the whole Armageddon fiasco.
