Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC

After a multitude of possible leaks, teases, and rumors, Rockstar has finally, finally confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC. On November 5th, PC gamers will finally be able to play the critically acclaimed game, on either Rockstar's newly released launcher, or through the Epic Games Store. For those who are already getting upsetted at the lack of a Steam version, that's in the works as well, though it will release sometime in December. The game will also be a launch title for the Google Stadia streaming service.

The PC port of the game will include access to Red Dead Online, and will have graphical enhancements which will be given more detail at a later date.

Enhancements and New Story Mode Content

The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons, and more.

Red Dead Online

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC also includes free access to the shared living world of Red Dead Online featuring all previously released improvements and the latest content updates for the complete online experience including Frontier Pursuits and the specialist Roles of Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector for players to progress through and earn unique rewards.

Pre-Purchase Bonuses with the Rockstar Games Launcher

Pre-purchases for Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC begin at 11 a.m. ET on October 9 exclusively on the Rockstar Games Launcher through October 22, with a limited time offer during this period of two free Rockstar Games PC titles from the following:

  • Grand Theft Auto III
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition
Pre-purchases made on the Rockstar Games Launcher also include free upgrades to the Premium Editions of Red Dead Redemption 2, with both the Special Edition and Ultimate Edition discounted by $20 each.

Further pre-purchase bonuses via the Rockstar Games Launcher include:

  • Outlaw Survival Kit for Story Mode
  • War Horse for Story Mode
  • Treasure Map for Story Mode
  • Cash Bonus for Story Mode
  • 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online
Additional Store Information

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to pre-order at the Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop, and additional digital retailers starting October 23 with a pre-order bonus of 25 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to purchase on Steam this December.

As someone who played it on ps4 already, I don't think I will buy it again. Not really enough to make me want to buy it again. The online isn't really anything special at the moment. And this is coming from someone who bought GTA V on xbox 360, xbox one, and PC. LOL.

Red Dead Redemption 2's PC enhancements will allow for "deeper immersion", and include increased, higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion (which improves the game's day and night lighting), improved reflections and higher resolution shadows, tessellated tree textures, improved grass and fur textures, plus higher quality snow trails.
It will also support HDR, multi-monitor configurations, and widescreen configurations, as well as increased frame rates and resolutions - including 4K

And as I previously posted install size will be 150gb

That has lost its appeal to me. I know I commit to a game more when it is bought, and it is appreciated more as well. Not to mention, achievements and trading cards are nifty stuff.
Yep this is wher nintendo are fools- adding a trophy like system will decrease piracy plus as you said playing for trophys adds extra challenges to the game
