Thanks to console players for helping with the beta version!

Yeaah no, not in this case I believe. It's a port, there may very well be different bugs and performance, we've no idea of the optimization yet (though by GTA V, some can expect it to be very good by today's standards). But yeah, gaming PC's will obviously run it better and more beautifully.

Yeah boi can't wait to play it again and probably waste thousands of hours again just for the mods. Mods alone is the reason why I still come back and play gta v even up to this day.

And people who don't mind not having any ownership on their games, but I digress.

Though I'm interested in the fact that games for Google Stadia will likely end up with Linux versions, it isn't of much use to us as such files for those games will unlikely be ever made publicly available in any form, unless someone leaks those files. I prefer having ownership of game files so that, even if a company stops making a game available, I can continue playing it without interruption.

Disgraceful comment showing no respect to console gamers - think you should apologise in some way

I know it's a controversial opinion but outside the characters, story and world-design I was really disappointed in this game. The controls were dreadfully clunky and unresponsive and the lack of freedom in missions really held the game back for me.

This video goes over most of the problems I had with the game.
I respect that opinion, but it's not for me or any of my friends, everyone talks how great RDR2 is around here...

The controllers I don't have much problems, they feel responsive enough for me on my PS4 Pro and the FPS are pretty stable too locked at 30 FPS and it only drops to like 28 and mostly only on the main city, so basically is stable 30 FPS since like 98% or 99% of the time the game will be always on the 30 FPS...

Comparing to like GTA V at least in my case I also can totally notice the shooting gameplay has way less input lag and is more responsive, the FPV gun shooting is also massively improved compared to GTAV even though its not a great game to do in FPV, but sometimes I put it in First Person while riding the horse or walking with a gun and gives a crazy feeling from being in that pure artwork world design...

About the lack of freedom on some missions I can agree, some I'm collecting everything I can and scavenging all dead enemy bodies and boom mission fails LOL, but on those missions it's really meant to be that way anyway and like GTA if we accept a mission we know we have to finish that mission before we actually can be in freedom open world, so I'm used to it...

The only problem I have is with the horse, but anyway it actually responds good, it's just that I go full speed on the woods and end up against a tree, but anyway in real life I don't think a Horse would go full speed between such terrain either so we are just pushing it and actually the physics of the horses in the game are far beyond the super arcade crap GTA V car handling gameplay where cars fly from mountain to mountain and seem like F1 cars on mushrooms, it has a exaggerated 100% pure arcade gameplay compared to like GTA IV while RDR2 I think the horses totally feel like a horse.

For last I have seen a HUGE amount of hilarious fun crazy bugs on youtube, but sadly I only got to see some minor bugs even after playing hundreds of hours of RDR2, I sadly never got one of those super laughing crazy bugs and I didn't even finished the game because its a very, VERY DEEP game, I lost most of the huge amount of hours I have doing every kind of side mission that appears, doing a lot of the challenges, exploring and uncovering some secrets, but even on the first settlement I already had all the crafting satchels and most more advanced weapons that were still locked on stores and even most settlement crafts:rolleyes:...

What I think the game could have been massively better is on crafting, there isn't much to craft other than satchels, the huge amount of the crafting is just items\ammo\food, I wish we had to do more crazy hunts to craft some weapons, some weapon accessories and improve other stuff by hunting which sadly the only really important thing is the satchel to carry a huge amount of items, the rest is mostly things that we can buy or cosmetic stuff for the settlement ;).

I'll say the same thing now as I said after initial release. It's a wild-west FPS sandbox. In other words, a wild-west Skyrim.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
