I just got a TTDS from dealwoot.com today, and of course I checked to see if it was fake. I looked here and on ndstt.com, and there is tsill something off about the card I got... looking for opinions...

First, it does NOT have the gold dot.

it does not have the "lines" coming from the left of the SD slot.

it does not have the imprint of an SD card underneath the slot on the back of the card.

    BUT:

It did come in the older "Box" packaging.

    AND:

The the writing on the PCB visible through the "teeth" says "DSTT 7"

I'm confused. Every picture I've seen says "DSTT 6". Why would a new version be in old packaging?

Anyone have any ideas on whether this is real or not?

    Hi fuzzbox,

I received 2 cards with the same packaging(including blue usb readers) that you got and with the same visuals that you talk about.
I am also interested if these are fakes or not.
It does not look like fakes and both cards works as expected, no problems yet.

Does anyone have a clue about these cards, fakes or not???

    PS. Purchased from Dealextreme

Those should be real, the Numbers (DSTT 7) just mean when they're made I think, My one says DSTT 5 and i got it a while back.

They sound like real cards. maybe they just came from old stock?

well, I bit the bullet and loaded up an SD card and tried it. Seems to work fine with the 1.15 FW, though it does seem a bit slower than the DSTT that I got from DX a few months ago, which has "DSTT 5" on the PCB. Didn't use it for an extended period of time, but didn't seem to heat up, as some have said about the bootlegs.

    Still crossing my fingers, though.
