Reason for picking non-sdhc sd card over an sdhc card?

Hey, I'm looking through the "modify ANY wii" topic, and I notice it says you should use a non-sdhc card "preferably"

    Why is this?

Might be for possibly better bootmii compatiblity, if I had to guess.

If it's not that it's likely for general compatibility with something else. Some older apps won't do sdhc, but will work with plain sd.

Most of the game exploits (all based on the old twilight hack loader) won't read SDHC cards.

Thanks for the ultra-fast replies, guys. I'm ordering from amazon, and the difference between 2 and 4 GB is literally 60 cents. I didn't want to mess up anything by getting SDHC, but at that price, I figure I should ask.

The older Wii software before 4.0 didn't support SDHC. So say you had a Wii with 3.2U, you were unable to hack it because you had an SDHC card and your Wii wouldn't recognize it.

Some people actually prefer 3.2 as the "best" system menu for hacks, but it doesn't support SDHC. I'm currently running 4.2U though and I see no problem with it.
