MY HDD's temperatures are around 55 Celsius...
I enjoy hard drives.
I suggest putting some ice-cubes on them.
Mine are at 34C - do you have good airflow? Fans right in front? Try to reverse the airflow so the front sucks and the back blows

My ambient temperature is around 32 at this point, maybe that's a factor...

The laptop I'm currently using overheats easily. Regularly gets bsod and the hdd temp is usually up there. With extended use it get's to 55C with little effort
