    Hi,
    I just bought an M3 Perfect LITE (micro-SD) & Passcard 3 with a 2 gig SD and I also had a R4DS with a 1 gig SD.

I have a question: is there any way for me to read a .pdf files on my DS?

I'm just wondering if there is some way I can put a text file on my DS, like a .txt, a .doc, or a .pdf.

    Thankx

The R4DS can read txt files with most of the latest firmwares. I also think the M3Lite can read txt, but don't quote me on this (I don't have a microSD to test it atm, but I'm sure you can).

I don't think there is currently a way to view pdf files without converting them to images, then viewing them as images. There are freeware programs on the net which allow you to do such a conversion.

No idea about doc files. Supposedly the G6DS was meant to be able to read them, but I doubt it.

There are plenty of text and image viewers (moonshell, imgviewer DS (same person as moonshell), comic book DS and DSOrganise being the big four) some viewers come integrated (not so hot on my M3 knowledge these days but I suggest using an external one anyway).

This being said PDF and the like have no viewers (lack of speed the problem) so I am afraid you are stuck with images, there were a whole bunch of conversion apps around (there was a thread not so long ago that had a similar discussion but I can not seem to find it.

Thanks for the fast reply guys!

I found out that I can uploads .txt files on the M3 but all the punctuation is screw up...
all the commas and the apostrophize are translated into question mark.
Which is getting on my nerves [IMG]

Also thank you for the links... as I'm writing this, I'm downloading a Heroes comic from http://gnese.free.fr/NDS/ComicBookDS/

I'm continuing with the tests... I'll post any developments [IMG]

didn't want to start a new thread about a related trivial topic but..
for anyone who is using dsorganize to read txt file, how do you go right to the place where the bookmark is set? instead of the red dot just beening there and having to scroll through and locating it
