I have a question, I just bought Verbatim DVD-R (9.99 -50pack @ best buy this week) and the question is why my sony burns works better then Verbatim.

Meaning Tales of symphonia Dawn of the new world on a sony works better then, then a undub on Verbatim.

Now what I had to do was downgrade back to 3.2U to play the Undub since it needed the whole Trucha bug. When I did that I had to reinstall the iso249 cause of error 324, and now it don't read my Verbatim.

Any help?

Additional info:
Burned with Nero @ 6x
also tested was waku waku animal march (same error)

I use Imgburn since everyone recommended me that it works best with wii, but why does it matter what burning program you use? It doesn't make sense to me... What does the program have to do with the wii reading the disc right?

when it comes to burning backups it make a lot fo sense , cause the drive and the media type and the burning speed on new consoles are not like xbox and ps2 days , now it's more elegant

Hello guys.
I'm with a problem here.
My wii just broke the laser, than I sent it to a especialist to fix that.
It's came working perfect, but, my Super Smash Bros Brawl Dvd9 is not working anymore.I sent back to the technical and he said that my wii will never run a dvd9 game anymore.
When I put my SSBB in my wii, it makes like "3 Tocs"...Like " reading--toc, reading--toc, reading--toc"..And than the disc channel says that the wii could not read the disc with that simbol "?".
I burnt 2 ssbb with a sony AW-Q170A,with imgburn, in a DVD+DL Ridata, in 2,4x and 4x.I used the layer braker on both of them.It still making the TOC noise.
Can somebody help me with this problem? Please?

Thanks everybody.

Has alot to do with how the program handles the iso file. Imgburn knows how to properly handle and write wii images, where nero and other programs will often give errors loading due to the different file system used. anyone who wants to offer a more detailed explanation feel free. You can never have to much info.

digitydogs,
Okay man, I will do that and run with geckoOS, because I'm with 3.4U firmware.

But before my wii break , it was working just fine, with no errors, after they change my laser it cames with that problem.
If Nintendo release another game with dvd dl I will be very angry..

nero is piss poor, verbatim 16x discs are best burned at 8-16x. You'll get elevated PIFs at 6x.

Where are the verbatims manufactured? Indian verbs are quite bad, Taiwanese and Japanese are much better quality.
