I'm running the bat but it appears a message in "no such file or directory", and no output folder is created
It seems there is a fully MP3 version of the game as well. Then conversion couldn't be needed, Switch should handle MP3 files fine. ADPCM is te IDK if that version is supported by re3 tho.my Vice City Audio folder on CD2 was all .mp3 files
guessing we need to convert those to .wav first

just realized the .mp3 files on CD2 get converted to .wav and installed in the game folderMy version is a combination of wav, mp3 and adf files![]()
Are you running the bat inside Program Files? That folder is protected on Windows 10. That could be the problem. If that's the case move the folder outside of Program Files (C: or My Documents) and run it again. My version is a combination of wav, mp3 and adf files![]()
Yep, that's was the issue, silly meAre you running the bat inside Program Files? That folder is protected on Windows 10. That could be the problem. If that's the case move the folder outside of Program Files (C: or My Documents) and run it again.
Of course ffmpeg should be there as well.
You can rename the folderis it possible to edit the re3.nro to something like revc.nro so to avoid overwriting GTA 3 files? or could i just rename the folder at least?
Have you been able to fix the game's text? It has placeholders all over the place. My only complain so far.It runs and plays for me smoothly in the very first minutes in-game with custom gamefiles (CPU overclocked at 1785 MHz), but the game may have bugs/stutters further.
Don't use gamefiles with this one. it change nothing. Feel free to create another thread for vice city because this one is for GTA3 and the binary I provided for vice city is like a toy and should not garbage to much this thread maybe. ThanksHave you been able to fix the game's text? It has placeholders all over the place. My only complain so far.
Aren't they compatible with the VC? Hmmmmm..Don't use gamefiles with this one.
..Is the text normal without them (the gamefiles)?Have you been able to fix the game's text? It has placeholders all over the place.
None of them or just TEXT folder?Don't use gamefiles with this one
Surprise.
You create a folder named gtavc (or whatever)
And you follow the same instruction as for gta3 (convert audio wav then copy data) but using your vice city pc version 1.1.
And you use the NRO linked in my post.
I don't know if the game is finishable or the port complete. I just compiled it thanks to @Graber prior work.
@Graber if you want to build and maintain it, I just checked out the miami branch and applyed your modification on top of it.
Edit: take a while to convert texture and start. Then show a black screen for one minute before starting.
Why?? Isn't it an open source? I guess we can do whatever we want (sticked to the rules, of course).I actually think it was really disrespectful of you to copy paste his work and push this out in his thread.
Unpopular opinion coming up because I know everyone wants Vice City but OP said he'd port that when it was further developed, I actually think it was really disrespectful of you to copy paste his work and push this out in his thread.
I agree that this thread has taken a totally different direction. Graber is the guy who made all this possible, and we all started experimenting with it in excitement over what Graber has accomplished.Unpopular opinion coming up because I know everyone wants Vice City but OP said he'd port that when it was further developed, I actually think it was really disrespectful of you to copy paste his work and push this out in his thread.
