Insomniac Games has finally revealed their trailer of the new Ratchet and Clank game which is a re-imagining of the very first title! In this trailer, you’ll see a few glimpses of footage from the film, and then your first-ever look at gameplay footage directly from the game coming exclusively to PS4 in Spring 2016. Check it out.

A lot of us on here tend to be more retro oriented and may not even pay attention to pop culture at all, not to mention there's a wide variety of people from various cultures on here. I know of it, and it looks interesting to me to a degree, but you shouldn't assume people on here know of anything beyond some Nintendo related things. Wololo is a bit more Sony oriented.

Yes that sounds good in theory, but they've reused the same weapons in all of the ps3 games and are reusing the same weapons for this game.
So it is much closer to "the same old weapons" then if they had used the weapons from the first games.
And I only see 2 weapons from the ps2 games, one of them being a pre-order bonus...

To be fair, we've hardly seen the full available arsenal. I think it's a touch too early to pass judgment.

Not only has this site stopped being entirely about Nintendo, but Bloodborne was reasonably well talked about with a magazine staff done review and everything. You can only be so blind to something that is repeatedly shoved in your face at the peak of its relevance.

Just this site tends to appeal to a fairly niche crowd around the world, so you're going to get people that aren't going to know about something just because it's popular. I only checked out Bloodborne because From Software has caught my attention. They've been making games that are essentially 3D Castlevania games to me, to some degree. I generally don't pay attention to popculture.

If Ratchet and Clank is good and Bloodborne's problems get ironed out, I'll have to seriously consider getting a PS4.

I'm practically a walking pop culture reference book, and I don't even try that hard. I just pay some attention to what's being talked about on the off chance it's of interest to me. I find it's better to be surprised finding something you didn't expect than being ignorant to it and having it completely pass you by.

As well, Bloodborne's problems are as ironed out as they get. The biggest annoyance, long, long, long, long load times were addressed in an update. At the least, the length of the average load time was halved, and they added item information to the load screens to make them a little less drab (before they just said Bloodborne in big letters making long loads even more boring). Other than that, PvP probably won't get anymore balanced (it's really a problem that comes back to the base game mechanics), so I'd say the game is as worth buying as it's ever going to be.

Trust me. 10 second load times are a god send compared to what they were at launch, and for about a month after launch. They were bad. Around 30 seconds bad. If you can get away with not dying a lot, you wouldn't have to experience them, but a bad run of multiple deaths and the load times really started to stack up. I don't know if any of the Souls games have managed to trim load times down to less than 10 seconds. Really, you don't notice them all that much unless you are trying to count the seconds. As for framerate issues, I have no idea what you're talking about. The game ran pretty damn smoothly from my perspective.

Unfortunately, the game does run at 30 FPS, but at the same time, the game runs perfectly fine at 30 FPS. It was due to hardware limitations that it was either the game looks as ridiculously good as it does, or it gets 60 FPS. I'm guessing it's mostly an issue in that the PS4 is still new and developers don't really know how to code for it optimally yet. The game was published by Sony though, just like Demon's Souls, and much like Demon's Souls, you can expect to never see Bloodborne on the PC.

But yeah, if you have anymore questions about Bloodborne, just shoot me a PM or give the old Google a search or two. Most information pertaining to Bloodborne's performance is easy to find and readily available. The developers were at least fairly open about decisions made regarding FPS and otherwise.

I'm not going to lie, i'm a bit disappointed this is a remake. I've been a long time fan of this series, and i bought the HD remake on the ps3 with the first 3 games. So to see a complete remake of the ps2 title YET AGAIN kinda peeves me. I was all ready for them to continue this awesome story they have built.

HOWEVER, i do fully understand that they did this because they have been very busy making this movie, so for now i will let this slide.

All that being said this looks very well done and i will probably pick it up later when i finish up the games i am currently playing, to me this is not an instant buy because i've already played it more then 5-6 times at this point. I'm happy that those who have not enjoyed the first game are getting a chance to understand the origins of the newer games, and hope they enjoy this game as much as i did because this was the game that got me hooked in this series <3.


EDIT: i dont see a need to post a reply, but reading the few posts above, this website stopped being Nintendo exclusive a long time ago. It is true that most people on hear are geared towards homebrew stuff, but the majority are gaming related. News about all types of games, including bloodborne, are posted during the time of release. You cant ignore posts if your active on this website, because the front page and active threads at the time of release of the game was all over the place, and a bit afterwards.

I hate the argument on the 10 second load time, but i will hold my opinions to myself on that.

The thing is, this isn't just a straight remake of the first game. This is a game, based on the movie, which is based on the first game. That means it will largely be similar, but with an expanded story, lots of new content, reworked old content, etc. It's ultimately what a remake should be, taking the base content and drastically changing it while only keeping the most basic elements of the first game. I mean, they've changed the guns, added entire planets, bosses, Clank sections, and more. It's a pretty spectacular difference compared to the first game. In the gameplay video alone, you can see how they reworked an entire boss battle probably to make it more like they wanted back in 2002.

Seriously though, it won't happen simply because Sony owns the IP and won't sell their own games on the competition's platforms for as long as they produce consoles, much like Nintendo won't release another multiplat Mario for as long as they make their own systems. They have no reason to put water on the competition's mill.
