Gaming Ratchet and Clank game save from disc to digital

Read on a forum some time ago that these were compatible but, after downloading from PSN, the save gane from the disc version is not being recognised to load when I start the game. Both are same region and I had a full game with all weapons maxed out, extra etc.
I can still see the old save game but cant seem to load it. Any workaround or is it start again....?

A quick look at game codes on Gamefaq shows that in Australia, the codes for disc and psn are the same yet in the EU they are different which might explain the issue. So, is there an workaround or way of cheating it while I still have the disc version in hand?

You have to use a PS3 save resigner to turn the save into the proper region. Both have different game ids so they won't detect each others save. Cheating can also be done with a resigner.

How does that work if its a PS4 games? Looking at a few threads it seems there isnt one for PS4 yet.

Looks like another (very long) playthrough then....should have checked before I bought the PSN version...thanks anyway.
