Radeon x1950 pro Crossfire or GeForce 8800GT 512mb

What should i do?

I'm using Sapphire Radeon x1950 pro (256mb) & I thinking of buying another one (same) to Crossfire or should i just buy Zotac 8800GT (512mb)..

which one work out better thank!!

Hmm, I think crossfired 1950s would be as powerful as the GT at resolutions less than 1650x1050, and much less expensive....Don't base your decision on DX10, you can force all the DX10 effects in DX9 and it performs better

Thank! I just notice DX9 seen lightly faster then DX10...

Zotac 8800GT (512mb) look like a nice card and It comes in better then the 8800GTS cards (320MB & 640MB versions)

2 x1950 is compareable with 7950x2, and thats smashed by 8800

really depends on your money, u could proberly get another pro for ultra cheap now 2nd hand

Wow, you don't know how wrong you are. An 8800GT would murder an x1950 pro even in cross fire.

Zotac 8800GT AMP 700MHz scores over 8800GTX

Zotac is the first one who dared to overclock the small D8P/G92 GPU on Geforce 8800GT cards to the sky high speed of 700MHz. We are pleased to announce that we have one of these AMP cards and the first results are much better than the results of the stock Geforce 8800GT. In the 3DMark 06 test it scores even better than the Geforce 8800GTX.

The card has 512MB of GDDR3 memory with 256bit memory interface, and comes with single-slot active cooling. It’s not exactly the reference card because Zotac added bigger fans and made some extra vents on the cooler surface for improved air flow.

The Shader clock on Zotac's AMP! Edition card comes in at an impressive 1700MHz, and memory also works at a strong 2000MHz.

8000 3Dmarks compared to 12000, but the latter probably has a much faster CPU. Buying another 1950s has a much better cost to performance ratio.

ATI is coming out with the 3000 series cards very soon though, which should murder both

Radeon HD 3850 and 3870 Specs Leaked
Graphics card manufacturer Diamond has quite conveniently leaked the specs for AMD/ATI's upcoming HD 3800 series of cards, giving the technical details of both the HD 3850 and the HD 3870. These do conflict a little with the earlier leaked specs, although they're still quite similar. According to the Diamond site, the HD 3850 will feature a core speed of 668MHz and 256MB of 256-bit GDDR3 memory at 828MHz (1656MHz DDR) and the HD 3870 will have a core speed of 775MHz and 512MB GDDR4 memory at 1.2GHz (2.4GHz DDR). Both will be manufactured using a 55nm process, and both will support DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1. Interestingly the cards are also said to feature up to four GPU support using an AMD 790FX based motherboard. The rumors say Hd3870 20% slower than 8800GT is entirely speculation as we don't see facts.
From price, power & performance, HD3870 does look good.

Thank, I getting 8800 gt 512mb..... soon I'll SLI with 8800 gt with another one (price drop)..
