Hacking R4i Renovation on 3DS

Hey, I'm kinda new here!

I've had this flashcard, R4i Renovation (which I know is a shameless clone =\) and used it without problems on my DS. I've recently gotten a 3DS, and even updating the kernel from the official website www.r4sdhc.com, I just can't make the 3DS recognize it. On the site, it says the kernel is compatible with the 3DS, though.

Does anybody else have the same card and uses it on the 3DS? If so, how?

What exactly happens in the 3DS?

Nothing at all. It just has the home menu as normal, and the space to select DS games is always white, with the general icons spinning around as if there was no card inserted.

Firmware Upgrade Steps:​

Will only make the 2.20T/2.10T cards compatible with 3DS firmware v3.0.0-6 and lower, and DSi firmware v1.43 and lower​

Update Instructions:​

1: Copy the corresponding upgrade firmwares to micro sd card.​

2: Insert the R4 card with firmware into the console which is lower than the V1.4.3 version, then turn it on to enter the R4 upgrade interface:​

a> The display of "loading" interface shows the R4 card upgrade is in process, please don't cut off the power or take out the card.​

b> The prompt“V1.4.3 upgrade completed" will be shown on the lower left corner after the R4 card upgrade is done. Now you are allowed to cut off the power and take out the card. It takes about 10 seconds to finish the upgrade.​

c> Download the latest kernel to the successfully upgraded card, and use the card on the V1.4.3 NDSI to confirm it's a successful upgrade.​
