Hacking r4i GOLD from r4igold.cc, what is this flashcard ?

I get a R4i GOLD for r4igold.cc, i download what is necessary to use it and...

- impossible to change the skin
- impossible to have any Adjust mode ?!

I have only: GAME - Multimedia - Slot 2

And if you go on the official website, you have nothing in the FAQ !!

You have got a wrong card.
The genuine r4i gold should be from www.r4ids.cn, which can be run on NDSi V1.4.3.

I don't think it can. www.r4ids.cn can use Wood and www.r4ids.com can use AKAIO but I don't think any card can do both.

Usually on R4 carts that have the Game, Media, Slot2 then the settings are actually in the Slot2 area of the kernel. However there are some cheap and nasty ones that do not allow you to change the themes at all.

I also have this card. While it may not be "as original as everyone has been taught", it has wii connection, as i've tested wario DIY, pokemon, etc, using the stock firmware. Yes, the GAME-MEDIA-SLOT2 one

It is indeed one of the best around even if it's a clone (not so cheap, anyway)

Lol. OP only said it looks like Wood or Akaio. My guess it is WAIO (Wood All In One which is just YSMenu with Wood interface if I'm correct). That puts his card in the camp of hope less cards that can barely (or not) keep up with the latest games and only struggle along using libinfo releases by brave volunteers. Card status: junk.

Normally, there are 2 developers teams for R4i gold--R4ids.cn and R4ids.com, the R4ids.cn for R4i gold, R4ids.com for R4i gold V2.0. Choose an correct flash card, to download the kernels from offical website. Their kernels will keep updated.

Got this today for my girlfriend, because we didnt have any other choice for a flashcard.

It doesnt work with wood, so I had to download and use the official kernel from r4igold.cc

Works fine with the official kernel.

i also have a r4igold cc i dont have mayor troubles with it ^^, just with ffIII but i already solved it. btw
you can change the skin, go to /_system_/Themes in you sd / sdhc directory,
you will see 12 folders, one for each month you just have to replace the images. here you have some examples
