Hacking R4i gold and very annoying game browsing

Been using M3SD since the release with phat DS and finally decided to buy the DSi with R4i Gold. Everything seem to work alright except browsing the games/appz list is just simple dreadful. Everytime I browse down or up, the current icon suddenly jumps to the middle of the screen and then slowly floats to the place it originally was placed. This looks very annoying and also makes browsing games bewildering because the icons jump to the front of the title text.

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature - I just want it out. Any ideas how to solve this?

Tried YSmenu and etc to get better menus for my r4i gold but they don't seem to work so well at all. Wood doesn't work either?

I've latest frimware for my R4i gold which is btw R4i-gold.com R4i gold, not R4ids.com R4i gold.

That kernel above doesn't work no matter how I try because it's a wrong kernel for this card

The menus are alright but the sliding is a big nuisance :3
