Hacking R4i game.sav, DS freezes on saving further game progress

updated DSi to 1.4.1.. Acekard2i with 1.8.5 AKAIO working fine.
Only problem is that my Pokemon Diamond sav file from R4i loads fine with Acekard2i, but I can't save progress. Everytime I try to save, DS freezes. I have to restart DS, then game, at game load this time It complains that saved game is corrupted.. an earlier version will be used, loads ok, then again freezes on saving any progress.

Any idea why this is happening? and how to fix it.

File names are:
Pokemon Diamond.nds
Pokemon Diamond.sav

I'm pretty sure you can open the save in PokeSav (PC application) and choose to save it as a 512KB save, then the 2i will work with it properly.

Thanks Rydlan, I just tried the PokSAV app, opened and saved as 512kb sav file, but that didn't help. now Game freezes on "press start" screen. Any other ideas?
