well, just ordered mine, thankfully the R4 isn't as popular as the M3 or SC so it should be a little faster to arrive. Can't wait to get it and start making my own skins.

edit: it seems every time I try to download the latest R4 english firmware (1.04) and extract it, it always comes up with "The archive is either an unknown format or damaged". Could someone upload any version of the 1.04 english fw?

1.05 is chinese, and dosen't work on the eng carts (I already tried it). 1.04 latest english

Right, M3 may develop a better firmware, or vise-versa. Having more options is always good.

Anyway, it looks like a simple hardware change is needed to switch from M3/R4 and EN/CH/JP. Specifically, shortening or cutting of a group of pads. That's the rumor anyway.

It's a rumor, but M3 and R4 will be sharing the same firmware/OS.
R4's firmware will come out first then M3 with their changed skin.

Surely time will tell the truth about this rumor...
Just hoping that 1.05 English firmware to be release soon, so I can use the custom skin!

r4ds.com takes ages to open or not open at all!
