Hacking R4DS + 1GB PBY (japan)

i just order some bundle R4 from Winsunx, and there out of stock for 1GB micro SD Kingston (japan), they're asking me if it's ok to replace by 1GB micro SD PNY (japan).

I just wanted to know if there's any problem with this memory, like problem with castlevania POR?

If I remember correctly, PNY is just a rebranded Toshiba like the Kingston. It should work fine.

Yup from the M3/R4 DS FAQ Thread.

PNY/Viking also OEM from the same factories that make the kingston silicons, but there's no guarantee that these cards are exactly the same as the kingston ones. There's a chance that the taiwanese cards made by all companies work flawlessly with POR, but like I said, it's only a chance. Or you could buy any MicroSD you want, and buy the original POR game. After all it is only one game (imho, isn't that good), and probably a small glitch in the dumped backup. For a list of POR compatibility click here

So what Jayboy said is correct, should be fine, but whether or not it runs like a kingston may differ =]
