Hacking R4 VS M3 Simply

Hey all, I am really wanting to get an R4 or M3 DS Simply with a 2GB MicroSD.
I see a bunch of stuff saying they are the exact same, but the R4 gets updates a little earlier.
Is there any significant differences, and which one would you prefer?
Also, would the G6 Real be a better choice?

You mentioned the only difference.
The fact that the R4 gets updates about a week earlier.

yepthe only difference is the fw updates r quicker but i wouldnt get a G6 real cause its the same thing but has built in memory so if you wanted more memory u cant have more
