I've been following the forum for a while now, & debating whether i should get a r4 or dstwo..

how quickly does the dstwo drain the 3ds battery? is it always power thirsty or is this mainly when running gba games?

for one who has no interest in playing gba games, is it really worth the extra money For a dstwo over the r4?

lastly, which has better homebrew compatibility?

thank you for any input

Worth noting is that even if you use sleep mode while in the 3DS main menu, the DSTWO will still kill your battery. I think it's because the on-board CPU is sucking power to emulate the DS cartridge.

To give you an idea of how bad it can be... if I leave my 3ds xl in sleep mode at the main menu all day with a 3ds game in it, it'll still have basically a full charge (not enough loss to register on the battery meter). If I do the same thing but with my DSTWO in there, it'll be at half battery at the end of the day.

In-game battery life is awesome though. Just make sure you don't leave the flashcart in there if you plan to keep your 3ds on for streetpass.
