Hacking R4 v1.23 Cheat.DAT Issue

I recently upgraded my R4's firmware from 1.18, to 1.23, via the official R4i site.

The issue I have is; all cheat files for every game, are stuck on "CHEAT DISABLE", and cannot be enabled. Also, the B button you'd normally use for the Real-time enable/disable in the cheat menu doesn't work, either. I can't use any AR codes, whatsoever, and it's beginning to frustrate me.

I've tried going back to 1.18, by deleting the two folders, and the two files (.DAT and .NDS) in the root directory, and replacing them with the 1.18 files, but it tells me the system files are corrupt.

There is no "official R4i page". Your best bet is to probably format the card, and install 1.18 again.

I just assumed the person that told me about it was right.

I'll just reformat, then. Do I format, then install the two folders and two files, into the root directory, or is there something else to it?
