    Damn, another R4 clone. Are they even gonna change the boxart to include DSi or just keep it the same? I highly doubt it actually will work, but I guess there really is no way to know for sure until it comes out. Oh, wait, is it out yet?

    Actually this has a ui based on the akrpg sources, But it is still an R4 clone. Not sure how they support DSi probably managed to steal an early copy of the AK2i and reverse engineer it.

    These people have some ballz. Not only are they suggesting that they have DSi compatibility, but apparently they have rebranded a Rumble pack.

    I'm sure it is, but the AKRPG is open source so technically this should be open source aswell.

    hmm what can i say ?
    apparently now DSTT-ADV and U2DS is working something call iPAS for DSi..
    not sure how it works but they claim it works like a loader .. it will create a custom empty custom firmware... then you can boot with your existing DSL flash cart on DSi

    I have not looked into it in detail, but I believe that the AKRPG source code is licensed under a licence that does not require release of the source of derivative versions. hence why AKAIO does not release its source code. guess it will teach them to use proper copyleft licenses next time.

    anyway, I really don't know, or care if this is a clone, but it will be interesting how well it works. from the OPs post it appears that they are saying they are using R4DS as a genericized trademark, which I almost agree with.

    just to note that the r4 ultra cards that support DSI are not sold as 7$ on dx, as reseller price is about 20$ !!! they should support different loader as ak2 and ak2i

    I can so give you some damned proof this thing's just a fake! Look here: (Found on: http://www.r4ultra.com/product.htm)

    The functionality of R4 Ultra
    ?
    Support SDHC memory cards ( compatibility up to 32GB) ;
    Change language of menu as you want without any limit;
    As same size and thickness as original card;
    No need to flash. Build-in launch Slot-2 (gba) function;
    Support DMA read and no lag when using any microSD card;
    Support FAT16 and FAT32. Can transfer files with PC, PDA, Cellphone and Camera;
    Support clean rom and drag-drop to play. Fast loading;
    Support NDS and iDS games. Run iDS games on any version of DS;
    Write save files to TF card directly and no need manual backup or restore them;
    Auto save type detection and no need to update save type list database;
    Support moonshell and home brew;
    Power saving design. Enter optimization mode automatically;
    Double screen UI. Support display thumbnails of games;
    Easy to use and setting ;
    Support button and touch operation both;
    Support Wi-Fi and rumble package and browser expansion;
    Support change back ground picture of menu;
    Support change font color of menu;
    Support brightness adjust (DS Lite only);
    Support soft-reset;
    Support AR cheat code;
    Support soft-reset of moonshell 1.6 (back to main menu of R4 Ultra) ;
    Support DLDI auto-patching;
    Support Download play;

    There's other stuff up there that I didn't highlight but that part alone about the iDS ROM support on any DS system should prove this to be fake. The DSi just came out maybe a month or two ago? Mayber sooner? I don't know... But I seriously doubt someone's already managed to dump the original firmware, tweak it, and convert it into an emulator this soon. Plus what about the unique features the new DS has? Camera? No SLOT-2 device? Micro-SD card support? Dual touch screens? Considering most games that'll come out for it will use a dual touch screen, how would you implement that feature in previous DS systems? Either these are so-called "promises" they're making, or they're just some really retarded piraters.
